About ARC-GA

ARC GA (Academic Recovery Centers of Georgia) is a results-driven academic intervention center designed to help elementary and middle school students close learning gaps, build confidence, and achieve at or above grade level.

Founded by an experienced educational leader with over 25 years in education, including roles as a teacher, school counselor, assistant principal, and principal, ARC GA was created to address a critical need: providing targeted, evidence-based interventions for students who need more than traditional tutoring.

At ARC GA, we believe that struggling learners require intentional instruction, not just extra help. We also know that students who are on grade level or above grade level often receive the least amount of attention in classrooms. What makes ARC GA different is our commitment to excellence delivered through our data-driven processes. Students are supported by seasoned, high-performing educators who understand how to diagnose learning gaps and deliver instruction that leads to measurable growth. We also seek out and employ powerful educators who provide service and support to on-grade-level or above students to challenge and move them forward. Every session is purposeful, data-driven, and focused on accelerating student achievement.

Our Founder

At the heart of ARC GA is a deep commitment to student success, driven by the vision and leadership of its Founder and CEO. With an extensive background in education, intervention, and student support systems, she has dedicated her career to helping children reach their full academic potential—especially those who need targeted, intentional support to get there.

Her experience spans working directly with students, leading academic interventions, and designing systems that drive measurable growth. She understands firsthand that many students don’t struggle because they lack ability—they struggle because they haven’t yet received the right instruction in the right way. That belief is the foundation of ARC GA.

As an educator and leader, she brings expertise in data-driven instruction and evidence-based practices. She has a strong track record of helping students close learning gaps, build confidence, and achieve lasting success. Her approach is both strategic and personal—grounded in high expectations, structured support, and a genuine belief in every child’s potential.

More than anything, she is passionate about changing outcomes for students and partnering with families to make that happen. Academic Recovery Centers of GA is not just a business—it is a mission-driven organization built to ensure that every child has access to the tools, instruction, and opportunities they need to thrive.

“The vision for ARC GA developed after countless interactions with students labeled as ‘low performing’. I was saddened by what I knew could be their outcome if they didn’t receive specialized support both academically and emotionally. I was and am driven by the obvious. We have to support our students differently. We must address the negative outcomes that have resulted from the pandemic and what we educators know was a problem long before COVID. ARC GA is my way of working with the best educators and parents to address learning loss, build student confidence, and strengthen communities by helping schools improve student outcomes.

The formula is simple: Assess/Define, Plan and Target, Teach and Intervene, Monitor and Adjust.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Is ARC GA a school?

ARC GA is not a school. We love and support our local schools by working with families and students to increase their likelihood of success in school. Students find it difficult to access grade-level curriculum because they often have skills gaps. ARC GA experts find those gaps and close them using evidence-based practices and processes, resulting in more confidence, solid academic foundations, and improved student outcomes.

How is this different from tutoring?

Most tutoring helps students complete homework or review what was taught in class. While helpful in the moment, it often doesn’t address the root cause of why a student is struggling.

Academic Recovery Centers of GA (ARC GA) takes a different approach.

At ARC GA, we provide data-driven, evidence-based interventions designed to identify and close specific learning gaps. Instead of just helping students “get through” assignments, we diagnose skill deficits, target them directly, and build strong academic foundations that lead to long-term success.

Tutoring: Homework help, general review, short-term support
ARC GA: Diagnostic assessments, targeted skill intervention, measurable growth

Tutoring: One-size-fits-all approach
ARC GA: Individualized plans based on student data

Tutoring: Focus on completing tasks
ARC GA: Focus on mastering foundational skills

Result:
ARC GA doesn’t just help students keep up—we help them catch up, keep up, and move ahead with confidence.

Why does it cost more than tutoring?

At first glance, tutoring may seem like the more affordable option—but the difference comes down to what you’re actually getting.

Traditional tutoring often focuses on homework help and short-term understanding. At Academic Recovery Centers of GA (ARC GA), we provide specialized, data-driven intervention designed to fix the root of academic struggles—not just manage the symptoms.

Our services include:
Diagnostic assessments to pinpoint exact skill gaps
Individualized intervention plans tailored to each student
Evidence-based instruction grounded in the science of learning
Ongoing progress monitoring to ensure measurable growth
Highly trained interventionists, not just general tutors

This level of support requires more expertise, structure, and intentionality—but it also delivers real, lasting results. Tutoring helps students get by. ARC GA helps students catch up, close gaps, and move ahead with confidence.

Academic Recovery Centers of GA (ARC GA) is designed for students with underlying skill gaps in reading or math that prevent them from fully accessing grade-level work. Instead of reteaching the same content over and over, we identify why your child is struggling and target those specific areas with data-driven, evidence-based intervention.

ARC GA is a great fit if your child:
✔ Is below grade level in reading or math
✔ Struggles with foundational skills (phonics, fluency, number sense, etc.)
✔ Needs more than homework help or general tutoring
✔ Has not made consistent progress despite past support
✔ Would benefit from structured, targeted instruction in a small-group setting

ARC GA may not be the best fit if your child only needs occasional help with homework or test prep.

Our goal is simple:
To close learning gaps, build confidence, and help your child move forward with the skills they need to succeed independently.
